When I put my '56 into hibernation back in the 90s I had removed the heater ***embly to work on a noisy motor. I've located all the parts except the motor and fan ***embly. I picked up an ***embly at a swap meet that was tagged as a '56 but the fan itself is about 1/4" to wide to fit into the housing. Were there different size fans in '56 or did I get a different year? Then the big question - does anyone have an extra motor and fan ***embly that fits the 4 1/2" opening?
My brother in law pulled a motor out of a mid 60's f-100 and it bolted right up to the stock blower on my 54. You might go down to the junk yard and pull some motors out and see what fits.
