Anyone know what type/size and where I can get a set of springs for the tailgate window on my '55 Country Sedan?

Bruce, I see them on ebay occasionally, got a set of NOS springs for my '55 Ranch, still had part #'s on them.

Had to chuckle. Thanks ct. I'm needing the springs that hold the tailgate window up though. Those would send it into outer space. Master, can you post the part #. Maybe I can google and find a pair that way. Thanks

Green likes it if you can provide a part #; a lot of their stuff is NOS from dealer closings/buyouts, etc. The part number for those lift-gate springs for '55 & '56 wagons is B5A-5942936-A but if you call, confirm with whoever you talk to that it should be the spring (packages don't always contain what they're supposed to...) . Green's online inventory records showed one piece in stock at 30 November 2012.

Just found this. Thinking of replacing springs on my 55 Ford Country Sedan. How did this work out for you? Was it hard to do? Do you need a special tool? Please advise.
