Rob, we're kinda all over Roch, but mainly in the greece-gates and spencerport area's.
As of right now i don't think we have anywhere we all actually hang out. In fact right now we hardly see each other.
I really hope that will change come summer.

We've been to a few thing's in Buffalo in the past couple years. The're was a charity gig that was put on a few years called the 'Hot Rod Happinin', and most of us were at the Cavalcade of cars indoor show.

If your even out this way look us up. We'll hit the Dinasour BBQ for some good eats and tell lies to each other.

Hey Rob- Things are running in the slow lane for alot us right now due to the Holidays and other priorities....Most of the guys now are craming to get there rods done for the Spring so for the most part everyone is busy but still make it a point to talk like every other day to keep each up to speed on whats been going on...Even tho we all have cell phones things are still sooo distant!
Please feel free to give us a shout when you are in the area....

  20. I was just visiting the Jamestown area before Xmas (Family Home). Is a Hamber S. of Fredonia, surprised he has not posted on this thread, I will not out him here.. I met a couple of Merc guys at a KKOA meet in Ohio a couple of years back that were from SW part of the state also. Hamburg swap is of course a good event to attend.

  21. There are a few of us Canajuns close to the border too. The Lancaster nostalgia drags should be a big HAMB gathering, I miss it every year for one reason or another.

I found the Dinosaur in Syracuse last year... I'm drooling on my keyboard just thinking about it.

    Hey Rob,

I was born in Buffalo and moved to the southern tier when I was a little kid. Grew up out in the Arcade/Delevan/Chaffee area. My parents were from Black Rock and the west side and I still have a sister and many relatives in the immediate Buffalo area.....I know my way around town.

I'm now located south of Rochester and I'm also one of the Pack Rats.

I've got a Y-block powered '48 Tudor sedan that I'm thrashing on to get ready for the Jalopy Showdown and my father along with my two kids and I are building a flathead powered '29 A coupe. I'm partners in a vintage NHRA-C/Altered '66 Rambler American that was a top contender and/or cl***/track champion at both Niagara, Lancaster and Spencer from '69-'74. We're gonna push to have that car ready for the track this summer. I've got a few off-topic rides/projects as well.

    PM anytime.

    -Bigchief.

    Big Chief,
If you remember the Niagara days you may remember My Dad and my Uncles cars. MY Uncle Jack ran a 48 Anglia called "Jump'n Jack Flash" and my old man had a blown 71 Gremlin called Midnight's Madness.
Right now besides me regular job as a truck driver I work for Mike Janis' Pro Mod Team as the Team Manager.

Midnight Madness!! DAMN, does that bring back memories! I always loved Niagara, and couldn't believe when it closed. I live in Lancaster, right around the corner from Jan-Cen.-MIKE:eek: :D

By the way, the Niagara Reunion should be coming up shortly.

no project here at the moment .... might wind up trying to convince pops that the rusty 76 lincoln in storage would make for a GREAT parts car for a bucket (460, c6, 9inch)

we already have enough 2" round tube to build a frame, enough stainless to build an exhaust, and id be happy to build a simply body from 1" tube and sheet metal, and anything i wouldnt want to build could be scrounged up at the swap meet in no time ....

holy snot rockets, your like a 10 minute walk from me .... im down by the end of borden rd

anybody remember the car shows chubbys ice cream used to have .... now its an autozone (french and borden rd)

Boones, is "Doschebags" some kinda southern thing? I looked it up in my
F & W and couldn't find a damn thing. Now, if you meant to call us Rochesterians "douchebags", well alrighthy then. We'll do just about anything to get that close to the promised land, if you get my drift!
