Thanks for invite from main board. I'd like to tell you all about my new 57 Custom 2 dr ride (first one I've ever bought mostly finished) but I couldn't get any info from previous owner. All I know for sure is probably a 390 (stroke measures out but no casting nos.), solids, 750, headers, 4spd toploader, rack & pinion, front disks. I got my wife's 64 Falcon on the road and figured I'm too old to build the 57 I already had and too cheap to do it to the quality of what I was able to buy (instant gratification I guess). I posted on the general discussions asking if anybody knew anything about this car from Arizona but no one has come forward yet. Anyway, it seems I'm hooked on this site - can't get anything done for always looking at 1 more post. What a wealth of info! I love it!
Welcome from Florida. 390 and a 4 speed- I like the direction this is going! this really is the place to be with a 50's Ford; any problem that you run in to it's likely someone on here has already found the solution.
BC, Canada - I'm on the wet coast -don't have to shovel it though! I still can't believe no one has responded to my post about info on my Ford, someone in the phoenix area must know something -I was told it was in a couple of runs/shows around the end of last year in that area. Just makes it easier wrt the engine guts or even the paint name or actual colour. I was told that it was an emotional sale (the owner died?) and that the wife destroyed all the paperwork. A friend of mine says it sounds more like a divorce -I don't know. It was love at first sight for me (you know how that goes!) and I had to have the car, background info or not!
