    Right then, a real piece of UK Hot Rod history here, Lemon Squash, but what was it based on?

    I agree, Consul, Zephyr or Zodiac (57-61?) The rear fenders gives it away...

  6. Its Lemonsquash....during & after the restoration!! It was v6 powered & had normal doors, then it was found & restored & 302 (I seem to recall) powered, with suicide doors....

    Trivia fact....I sold the rims for the front of it!! :D

    I should have somewhere as a mate of mine owned it here in Swindon about 25yrs ago & then another mate owned about 5yrs after that!

    Ok guys yeah Lemon Squash started off life as a Consul mk2 was originally V6 powered and yes the suicide doors were added after the restoration as was the 302.

    Trivia: That car was the hook for Hamber PFF (Pete from Fleet/ Pete Dempsey) getting into the Rodding scene

    More trivia: I nearly owned it 2 years ago, the owner wanted to swap it for Koppa.

    Hey KoppaK (or anyone) any more photos of modified Mk2 Zephyr Zodiac or even consuls? I never had much luck finding any. I've got a 1959 Zephyr that i'm gonna start working on in the spring, nothing too crazy just wana get it back on the road for now but would like some ideas

    Check out my other weird car posts there have been many... There's a straight forward sled and another turned into a pick up.
