Hi! My name is Simon Johansson, a 24 year old swede who just, after a few cl***ic Opels, bought his first yank, a fourdoor '54 Ford Customline in decent shape with the 239 Y-block. Haven't picked it up yet though, due to weather conditions... Yes, my fingers are itching for the snow to thaw The only picture I have is from the ad, and includes ex-owners ex-wife, but it's always something Also a fun bit of trivia is that it during a period in its life was tour car for the rockabilly band Go-getters No big plans for it though. Just regular service, fixing up the interior, maybe some lowering, and then just drive it. //Simon
Nice looking car, I agree with you on the weather. We are having a terrible winter here in Newfoundland also. Welcome.
Thanks everyone for the welcome Forgot to add that it's a three-in-the-tree aswell. Original paint too, and not much rust (atleast not for an unrestored car originally sold in Sweden). And luckily the ex-wife (and dog) was not included, the ad stated that very clearly
Volkommen Simon, Hej Hej from So Cal. I just spent Chrismas & New Years in Malmo (for everyone else that is south Sweden). I have lots of friends in Malmo & Ystad. Ive been to the Ystad cruse several times with friends that have a 55 Fairlane with the roof window & 56 Vic with 550 HP and a rock crusher trans. Were are you in Sweden?
meknow63: I'm from a place called Aneby outside of Jönköping. About 300-350km north from Malmö. And again, thanks everyone Not many places where you can come as a know-nothing and get such a warm welcome
The car is sold new in Sweden Right now it's standing in Gothenburg, in the garage under the ex-owners flat
Jönköping, that is a big 50's car town. I think I remember a Meguires television show from there. They hold cruses there as well don't they. My friend say's she has been there many time ant the car shows. (she is from Malmo).
Välkommen till gruppen från norra Califonia. Dessa bilar är skitkul. I am cheating with Google Translate.
