I have been a member of this group for several years and am aware that they have recently changed the software for the discussions. Am I the only one who now no matter what I do cannot get past the home page without receiving error messages. I cannot even get in to ask the group what is wrong. Can anyone here offer some suggestions. I don't consider that forum to be in opposition to this group, but another great resource when owning, driving or maintaining a Y Block. Thanks in advance
Rick, I had a problem at first, but it cleared up. Don't know what I did, or what happened, but I can get in fine now. Might send Jim (webmaster) an e-mail at: jculver@y-blocksforever.com
Thanks for that Nite Owl. I didnt have an eamil for Jim. I have been able to get into the forum a couple of times, but the moment I try to log in I get the error message. Regards
Go to the home page (google it) and then click on the forums. Then you can rebookmark the new. That is what I did. Your user name, etc should work on the new, mine did.
A lot of times, problems with forums like that are cleared up simply by clearing your browser's cache and cookies.
Well I did all that, but I still kept getting error messages. Finally I sent Ted Eaton an email - he reset the p***word and away we go. Makes me realise why I like engines so much. You can at least see what is happening. Thanks for all the replies.
For the first time ever it "remembers" my log in information. I didn't do anything but click on my usual link.
I had a lot of problems too. I found out I was using old the old address. Jim helped me out too. Here's the new one just in case anyone needs it. forums.y-blocksforever.com/Default.aspx
I still can't get on the new Yblocksforever Forums even when I use the new address. Can someone give me Ted Eaton's email address so he can help me too? Thanks, Alan S. Freeman
The secret with getting on the new forum is deleting all previous knowledge of it on your computer. You need to delete your previous bookmarks and cookies. Then when you go to the site your computer won't be taking you to the sites old location. The site has been moved onto a new server and if you use previous info it will take you to the old server. If you still have problems go to ted eatons engine balancing site, email him and he will reset your account for you. Most of us are probably reluctant to put people's email addresses on forum pages.
