Hey guys (and gals), apologies if this has been covered. I've gone through some of the threads and there's a LOT of back and forth, but I can't seem to pin down what's best. I've got a Cavalier style rack on the 55. Late 60's Mustang power steering pump that is now sqeaking. I've only got about 100 miles on the system. (I can lift the hood and with a long screw driver hear the bearing inside making noise, and the belt is new and adjusted.) Anyways, I have a bracket that will fit a Saginaw onto the 5.0 H.O. that's in the car or I could just get another Ford pump. I just wanted to pick your collective brains first. Thanks very much in advance!
Thanks for the reply OLM. That's what I was thinking but thought I would throw it out there and see if any consensus one way or another.
Doc I used a NAPA NRP 22-108 Sag pump I have used this pump with all my rack convertions both Mustang & GM and have not needed to adj the pressure. The wife has one on her 54.
