Ford C4 Auto Tranny Question

  1. I was wonderin if anyone makes a kit to get rid of the tailshaft on a C4 tranny and make a shorty out of it?Similar to a chevy powerglide setup when you shorten.were puttin a C4 behind my flathead to go in a frontmotor dragster.thanx,Larry

    Shorty c4 trans came stock in early 70ish ford vans .

    Ford Econoline(up to '67) with C4 have a short tailshaft, for example.

    I have one of the shorter ones out of van if you need it, it has a yoke for a u-joint on it.

    I don't know if the (up to '67) Ford vans had a c-4. They might have been Ford-o-matics?? Correct me cause I could use one also.
