In the mid to late 80's or so Ford used a bolt with a stud to hold the valve cover down in certain spots. On the stud went a plastic part to hold the wires. I was told they were used on the cars with steel valve covers. I had some a long time ago but now cannot find them and want to use them for a new project. Does any one know if these are still available and where? Anyone have any left overs?

    Thanks

I know the bolts you are talking about but I have never seen the wire holders. Anyway, here is the solution we came up with for the '87 5.0 in my '55. Just a long bolt, a washer, a piece of fuel line flared on both ends as a spacer, and an after market loom. Works well.

I just took off the style you are asking about off my engine 2 weeks ago. I replaced them with this style. Much cleaner I think. Taylor Wires makes them. We sell them at my work.
