Anyone know a place that sells rear leaf springs for a variety of applications. I need a nice lift on the rear end of my 64 Comet. I have the originals, but the *** end is draggin' like there is a fat lady in the trunk. I've heard of the option of getting them rearched, but hell, that's almost as much as I would have to pay Kanter to just make me some new ones. ESCO Springs had a good selection but I think they are out of business, can't find them on the Internet anywhere. SO....anyone know of a place, other than Kanter, that has some rear springs for a 64 comet, or maybe sells them by measurement, at a reasonable price?

I think they are the same as 64 mustang(falcon). I will call me dad and ask him to check. He has both in the shop now. Try that route they might be cheaper.

Hell yeah that would be great. You know how hard it is to find that kind of measurement on the internet? Next to ******* impossible. Mainly because it's just a bunch of guys that let other people **** with their cars. I need to measure mine, but I can't get even a razorblade up under the rear end. I a jack I can trust not to crush my head when I'm not looking.

  4. Go to yer cheap local or net auto parts place.

Buy a set of COIL/overload shocks

If ya paid more than $75 you got robbed

Will boost yer *** back were is should be

Set of Mr Gasket bolt on traction bars will do the same thing also.

There are lots of repop srings out there, seek and ye shall find

If I wanted the *** end on the ground I'd just keep the fat ***** in the trunk.

Hey cool Fourlug, thanks for the help, you're my hero. <3 He has both a 64.5 mustang and 64 falcon in the shop right now? Sounds like quite a shop, eventhough I'm not that big a fan of mustangs, sure beats the hell out of a midseventies joe-dirt-mobile.

Come on guys, nobody knows where to get springs???

JC Whitney sells springs for just about anything. www.jcwhitney.com

Then there is ebay. There must be someone on there selling new mustang springs.

Local auto parts store should be able to order them also.

Then there is Kanter auto....they probably have them. But I have not been happy with the price or customer service from them in the past.

The various mustang/falcon/comet catalogs all have them also.

The Mustang is my little sister's old car. It is a '64 1/2 260 V8 auto w/factory air and pony interior. His '64 is a Comet Caliente Conv. He is doing the bodywork and painting it this winter. Winter in Texas - it was in the high 70's today. Glad I could finally help someone.

i have got mustang spring in my falcon there a combination of 71 and 67 springs they were both apart so i dont know how many of each year i used but i think they are probabaly the same anyway but they fit right in and it raised the back a little. but i think it was mostly becasue the springs that were in it were shot but they did go right into my 64 falcon so im sure they would work in a comet

Yeah no ****, I found that out today when I found an old receipt from them for some front coils for the Comet. My brother (fat***buick) drinks too much, I'm surprised he can remember his own ****ing name, let alone the ages of his kids.
