A few 'group friendly' photos I took from the show I went to on Saturday June 15th at one of the local Ford dealerships: A kind-of homemade 'ute', modified from a '55 Crown Vic, not perfect but very nice. Seems I saw those taillights used on other '55-'56 Fords, I think they're early 60s Mopar - Seneca or something; I like the look on this car: A nice '54 convertible with the see-thru hood: ------- Some nice TBirds: A great show, about 150 cars - nearly 1/2 were Mustangs. I might be a bit biased but this '56 is my fave at the show :
This isn't the same building but it's in the same town where I started as a parts guy, 40 years ago, only a few days outta the Air Force. The old building was torn down a few years ago. First time I've had my car at this show, which is an annual event. They also have an autumn drive-in night for cl***ics. Looking forward to going to it this year as well.
Cool shots, love that red 54 with the plexigl*** section in the hood, wasn't that a special dealer thing to showcase the Y block motor when it was first introduced?

The owner of the read 'vert also said same thing. The car had another thing I'd not seen before. One of the valve covers had a plexigl*** insert in it between the hold-down studs to show the valve train. I'm not sure if it was also a dealer show-off piece. The cover looked as if it had been like that for awhile, not sure if it was part of the promotion for the new OHV 239s in '54. Does anyone else know?
