Wondering if anyone has done business with KMJ Performance. They have some great prices on some items I want badly. Problem is their prices are too good and after talking to a sales person who commented the parts were from
overseas, I'm a little put off since overseas means China to me. So if you have bought from them how was your purchase?

Bought several things and have recommended them in the "sticky" file for certain parts,KMJ seems to be getting larger and adding more inventory. That being said so many companies outsource these days it pays to be more specific as to what your needs are and we can better advise you. Many companies that previously had good reputations have fallen by the wayside by putting profits ahead of customer satisfaction.

I have found some of the products the sell to be marginal quality, although they do not manufacture them. That said you get what you pay for and I kinda like cheap if Im not trying to be a "John Force" racer

I've been looking at their tilt steering column and was a little worried after reading a post about the quality of columns built in china. Their alternator and power steering bracket and pulley kits are half other vendors, which is another of their items I would like. So i'm standing around scratching my **** wondering if I take a chance. Seems I make some great progress and then discover I've went two steps in the wrong direction.

I bought my 302 finned oil pan from them and my chrome dipstick tube. Tube has not had any issues, but im on my second oil pan. First one i got and installed on the engine on the stand before dropping the engine in and on of the front corners where the bolt hole was cracked off a chunk of the aluminum. I called and they sent another one right away I just had to cover the shipping one way. So far the second one has been fine. Like a previous post, obvioulsy they dont manufacture the parts, but they did take care of me on the issue. I would give them a solid 7 out of ten.

kfmog, you will be OK with the brackets but for the tilt column avoid it this is a better option for quality:http://fordfalcon2000.com/restoration/tiltcolumn.htm Another positive is Ford pretty much stuck to the same wiring codes for years where as aftermarket tilt columns tend to use a plug & play GM wiring harness.

I purchased my intake manifold, carb spacer and alternator brackets from KMJ. I was very pleased with the finish, shipping and the prices

Most OEM electric fans have the curved blades,I used the 16" with the curved blades and had a shroud to match http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=34689&pictureid=397295 and it is working fine, the flat blade electrics are a waste.I was having overheating problems with our Cavalier daily driver somehow when I installed a new blower motor I had flipped the blade and it was not cooling worth **** after turning them over it works fine. You might try flipping the blade and see if it changes. Here is some good info on Cooling http://www.fordmuscle.com/TechDepartment/cooling.php Ford makes some that will blow like a hurricane, the dual fans also have an advantage for clearance as the water pump shaft can center between the two fans.
