I pulled my 272 engine along with the torque converter connected. When it was all the way out I noticed that the splines on converter shaft were cracked and broken. Transmission fluid also leaked. Did I mess up bad??

That is the part of the converter that goes in the pump to turn it and move oil. It looks like there will be metal found in the trans. Not good. Its time for a tear down, cleaning and inspection.

Actually, I have all of the metal pieces that broke off. Got lucky I guess. Can the shaft be replaced via a tear down of the converter?

Thanks. I'll try there as well.
