To look in proportion it needs about a 3" sectioning,a more conservative chop of about 2 1/2" -3" would have been better.Nice job on the welds though.
Looks pretty good. I am starting to chop mine 3" and using a '50 Ford rear gl***. I noticed you slanted the 'B posts'. I think I might do that too, rather than keep them vertical, but have always wondered how slanting the posts affects the rear side windows. Will they have to now be stationary since they are bigger at the top than the bottom? Will they still roll up and down? Will the channels they ride in have to be slanted too, or am I missing something?
Nice chop.. It looks like the 54 that was at Santa Maria this year. It is also in R & C this month Australian artist Mat Egan owner. His car has a sunken back window. He carried the beauty line past the rear window into the 1/4 panels.
Thanks Guys.Ive looked at a ton of these chops. More bad ones than good. Its real close to Mat Egans 54. I think that car was chopped by Noble Fabrications. The belt line will cary on and blend in to the quarters just past the rear window. Ive done a few 50's chevy and stretched the roof. In my opinion it doesnt work on these car. I really like the wrap around gl***. So i always try to keep them. Ill post more pics in a day or so. This is a pic of my 53 chevy and my 54 ford
yeah im tired of people putting shoebox back windows in cars, especially in like 50-54 chevs, looks like ***
ok i think i know what u mean about the belt line, so it would look like a shoebox around the quarter window kinda
