I'll be putting a 302 and AOD in my '55 wagon next week. I need a radiator that will bolt in or fit in the stock radiator brackets. My stock radiator obviously won't work out for this application. My question is, does anyone know of a radiator that will work for me?? I'd also need one that has a ****** cooler. Thanks, Zach.

1949-56 Fords can use mid 60's Mustang radiators like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-ROW-ALUMI...iter_Display:3.3L&hash=item19e0621416&vxp=mtr Notice the lower radiator hose is on the drivers side like 1970 and later 302/5.0's also this radiator has the transmission cooler, however I would add an additional stack cooler with the AOD like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/HAYDEN-677-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item51aec6217d&vxp=mtr It measures 7 1/2" X 11" X 3/4" so you can mount it on the splash pan behind the grille out of site and will get good airflow.

Thanks Jeff!! I just bought the radiator that you recommend. Is the additional cooler needed or just recommend?

Recommended, but a lot easier to install when you are putting in a radiator in anyway and that eliminates direct heat transfer, dropping the overhall temp 30-40 degrees will keep that AOD alive much longer.Really cheap incurance for under $50 compared to the cost of a transmission failure.
