You probably already know this but I'm gonna say it anyway, you know those are pot metal right? You might wanna look for '52-4 merc ones, or 52-3 ford, as they're stamped steal. If you're gonna panel bond the headlight door on, its going to ghost at the seam as the epoxy expands faster than steel.

Merc and ford are different.. Merc is round Ford is slightly oval with a peak or ridge at top..
I do have a steel Ford $20. plus the ride.

Steel ford ones are round too, pot metal ones have the peak. Want me to take pictures?

I like the slight rake on the '54. I have used 3M adhesive before and not had problems. I may have just been lucky.

No problem,, having gone through the fight of finding ones for my Merc I can tell you for sure they are different and a lot of people do not recognize it until laying side by side.
Also the '54 Ford has little peaks at 3 and 9,, something I did not know until l today. A little side not too, is Merc headlight buckets won't work on a Ford either.. The bayonet on top for holding the door is longer for the Ford.. Replacement ones have a score mark so as to break it off for a Merc.

One last thing,, Trim rings come in Stainless and chrome plated steel.. Obviously the Chrome are always pitted beyond use.. I am pretty sure I have an extra of them (stainless) if you need one.
