All you guys that have built or are building a 38-47, where did you get your windshield rubber seals? Are you happy with it?

:) Got some of my rubbers from Bob Drake. He specifically made some for his COE, which he restored. Whether he still has any rubbers for the COE is something I can't answer as I bought mine several years ago. Hope this helps you.

Bob Drake did have the windshield rubber seal #50-701290. Was $60.

Thanks 65Standard, went to the Drake site and searched for that number, got nothing. Then I searched for Windshield seal, and up comes the number you posted. I try to add to my cart and get Item "50-701290 is obsolete" Guess they don't carry it anymore.

While cruising the Drake site I found this. http://www.bobdrake.com/ItemForm.aspx?Item=01A-750-SK
That would look pretty cool flowing off the back of a COE. I have seen the metal work you did on you pickup, absolutely outstanding, bet you could pull it off :)

Hey Daddio, those pics look familiar, where did you find them? They look exactly like the ones I took this summer. You should see this thing in person. Truly a work of art.

As the ***le says, I am looking for the rubber seals on the windshield.

Maybe you can use the 1938 Ford pickup windshield rubber seal? It has a one piece frame that opens like the COEs. You may need to by two seals and cut them down for the smaller COE half windows frames?

I talked to Bob Drake personaly, and he said the 39 Ford Car windshield gasket (seal) has the same cross section as the COE. It take two car seals to have enough length to make one COE set and you will have to glue the corners. I bought the seals and compared them to the original seal and they are the same. If you can't find the appropriate glue, try Steele Rubber products.
