I just wanted to post the most recent images of my roadster and it's progress, or is that my progress on my roadster? anyway, the motor and tranny are mounted. Now I can start building the crossmembers in the frame as well as the sub-structure (floor) in the body. I had to add four leaves in the front spring and five leaves in the rear spring. I originally was using an aluminum Buick V-8 but that idea was scrapped when I got a deal in the 'traditional' sbc and tranny. In one of the pics, you can see my lovely wife trying out the fit. r
Robin, thats looking better, everytime I see it.Your doing good work there.I havent done much as of late, maybe this will help get me going.Looks Great!
Looking real nice. That is a glass body I assume? Did you make a trunk opening? I would like to do a '27 roadster some day and more than likely use a glass body. Definitely needs an opening trunk for me. Woody
I see alot of progress on your car. Why the small block? Still no steering? Sure like the wheel & tire combo. Later
It's a glass body I got from scarliner. The trunk has been cut open and is hinged. I have some ideas for that though, so there will be some cool modifications coming. since I finally cut out the firewall, I can work on the steering after I get the crossmembers in. The six banger on the side is tenteviely scheduled for my '54, but may turn out to be 'extra'. It's a '67 vintage 250 with a Holley 390 and headers and set up to run a T-5 behind it. I might have something else coming that is 'better'. My goal is to drive this to the Stray Kat 500 in May. I can do it as long as I get out into the garage and actually work on it... tantara2001, you know the price and what it will take to get it in your garage... r
