I'm in the process of rebuilding the floors and rockers of my 59 Galaxie. I'm able to locate floor pans and the outer rockers, but can't seem to find the inner rockers. I am also unable to locate the floor braces for the 59 Fords. They do make the floor braces for 57-58s. How different are the 59s from the 57/58 models?

    Thanks for any info.

I've checked Mac's, Dennis Carpenter, etc. No one seems to make the inner rockers nor am I able to find the floor supports for the 59. I was planning on just using the 57/58 supports and make them work. I'm sure I can Fabricate the inners if needed, and I think that I can make the floor supports work. I was just wondering how different the 57/58's are from the 59s.

  4. Hey Rocket77, I have a 59 Ranchero and have run into the same type issues. Everyone carries the 57/58 stuff, but do not list the 59. When you call these people, most of the time they do not know if the 59 is the same. However, keep in mind that the 59 is basically the same car as the 57/58 except it is slightly wider and longer. I have "trusted" my best guess on many items and have found that the 57/58 stuff bolts right on. Example: floor pans, kick panels, headliner etc. Some items are close fits, but almost the same. Thes can be modified very easily. I say, try it. If it don't fit at all and you don't modifiy it, most places will take it back. I would bet that the braces would work or could be made to work very easily.

Thanks for the help guys. I will probably just use 57/58 inner rockers and floor support. Im sure that they are close enough that I can make them work.

Im having the same problem finding braces for my 54', most suppliers only have the flanged end caps, plus the convertible has more braces than a coupe. good luck

  9. It's been too long to remember exactly what I had to do to make them fit. And acutally, someone else did the physical work for me. But, the 57/58 WILL work or can be made to work very easily. I didn't ake pictures. Sorry.
