I currently put a 302 with a c6 trans in my 53. Does anybody know of a place where i can get a ujoint to go from my c6 yolk to the factory shaft with the 1" cap?
Head off to an older parts house where a gray haired dude is behind the counter. Give him your accurate dimensions and he will find what you need in a book.
Just look up drive shafts in the local yellow pages take your yoke and shaft along and you should be on your way pressed in and done way under an hour.
I originally used my stock radiator for a year or two then switched to a larger aluminum one because I wanted to not because I had to.
I would recommend going to a Driveshaft shop. They can make a custom U joint and you can have them balance it as well.
Any good parts store (usually NAPA with a skilled counterman) can get you a combination joint to fit your application. I worked for NAPA for 9 years back in NW Ohio and we had all kinds of racers and hot rod builders come to us to find "the good stuff" LOL
