Hey y'all, finally getting to bolt up a top loader to my y block
What are you guys using for a mount?
Any pictures/blueprints our info would mean the world.

Do you mean a mount or a trans cross member ?

Well the mount to the top loader goes horizontal (standing at drivers door) versus the ol' 3 speed that had the mount that went vertical in the same position, so in sense I'm wondering what mods I'd have to use to complete the installation of this transmission mount to the stock 55 Trans crossmember
    Thanks Troy

In my 54, I used the toploader mount. I found that mount was about one inch (don't remember the exact amount) in front of the 54 Fordo mount. I used a 1/4 plate to bridge the gap. The quarter inch was just about the difference in trans height between the fordo and the toploader.

Don't know what difference there is between a 54 and a 55, stick vs automatic.

On my 55 Vicky I flipped the stock mount over, then welded a 1/4 inch plate to it to accept the stock toploader mount. Works great.
