I really like this car to say the least. I especially like the larger wheels made to look just like the originals by Billet Specialties. Technically this is not a HAMB friendly car but the theme of stock looking but upgraded underneath is one theme I like. The tbird scoop is a nice touch as well. I never thought that would look good. More pics through Google. can be found here.
Real nice build! Though it sure doesn't hurt having a fat wallet notice from the Google pix the extensive firewall and front clip work done to accommodate that monster sized 5.8
One thing I always appreciate with high dollar cars is how they inspire all of us to be better. Most of us will never have a Moal built car but we can steal ideas from the top builders. And once in awhile a part developed for one these cars becomes available to the market and we all benefit. That is one gorgeous car wouldn't mind if it was mine. Hope it gets plenty of road time.
It certainly shows how nice the original design of the Tudor Custmline was. Externally it looks like a Thunderbird hood scoop and frenched headlights was all it needed. Even the later billet wheels look good. Personally I like the Custom line side stainless better than the swoopy Fairlane stainless trim. Real nice car.
I know those engines are huge. And so is the price tag... lol That's for sure, Moal makes some very nice cars. I like the simple interior and general simpleness of the whole car.
I know a guy from one of the shops that worked on his car, he said Tim Allen has $700,000. in the car. OUCH!!!
Hahaha ..no but the general look of the car is where im going with my 55 mainline as in all black de badged smoothed bumpers without overiders and a nice big engine
Me too. I've been thinking flat blue for my car but similar wheels, simple interior and a 460 of course.
Here's the write-up: http://www.streetrodderweb.com/features/1307_1955_ford_coupe/ I've always liked those T-bird scoops.
Sunofabeetch! I've been wanting to do that with my dash/doors - someone beat me to it!! I've always wanted to modify the original dash in my '55 Vicky into a cross between a '55-'56 'Bird and '54 Ford with engine-turned inserts, tach and clock flanking the Astro-Dial, place the controls in-line horizontally and get rid of the round radio/heater control/clock. I like what they did with the T-bird door trim and Crown Vic/'Bird-style armrests to finish out the dash trim - something I didn't thing about but now would like to do. The steering column? Take out the original two-tube unit and replace it with a cut-down one from a '55 Merc so that I have a column shifter. I'm not crazy about the bullet mirror on the exterior or the backup light filler, and where's the front turn signal lights? Come to think of it, where can I find more pics of this? The 'Bird scoop has always had me thinking. Swap out the high roof on my Vic with a '56 Vic's to build my own '55 Sport Victoria. The dash is easy enough to do, but swapping out the roof and windows/frames makes me think just go ahead and get a '56 Vic and swap out the front clip, dash and taillights. Anyone got a complete '56 Vic body they want to get rid of? That'll drive them nuts at the next Crown Victoria ***ociation convention...
I'm doing a fairlane with a fat man clip and I have to cut the floor up to use the a.o.d. with the fatman crossmember I wish I had known this before, I never would have put the clip in the car

You could do like 50Fraud did, take a 56 Vicky and put a 55 grill and trim on it.
I just got through reading 50fraud's current build thread on a '40 Ford 'convertible' (started as a coupe) that he's been designing, and I had his '55/6 on the back of my mind when thinking about how to restyle my Vicky. It probably would be easier to start with a '56 roller and swap out the front clip, dash (with aforementioned modifications) and taillights, but I already have a ***led and licensed '55 - having a complete body shell that I could swap out would allow me to keep my conscience and still call it a '55. Six of one thing, half a dozen of the other.
