Did any of you street rodders with '52-'55 Mercurys who updraded to modern wiring harnesses save your old under dash circuit breaker/fuse block? Mine has two broken off fuse clips. Mercury is different than the Ford breaker ***embly. The Mercury one has two fuses and two breakers. The Ford ***embly has only one fuse. Thanks, Alan S. Freeman

Sorry I can't help you with a fuse block Alan, but my 53 Merc only has two fuses to the original wiring harness. There are no breakers on it, they must be on the later than 53 Merc cars.

Thriftmaster, ALL '52-'54 Mercurys had at least 2 circuit breakers in the original wiring harness, one for the headlights and another for the parking and tail lights. Yours is probably still under your dash (driver's side next to the speedometer) where it is held on with a bracket and two machine screws. There were also a number of gl*** fuses, two on the breaker ***embly and more inline depending on how many accessories you had on the car. Alan

Guys, if you don't know about Del City, click on it. They have whatever you need in electrical hookups, including a vast array of circuit breakers (both, resetting and manual reset).

My cl***ic Fords came with individual inline fuse holders and no fuse block. 1960 Fords didn't have a fuse block, either. Adding a block makes things so much easier to find. - Dave
