Hi everyone. I have been working on a 54 Ford Customline Coupe for a couple of years now. I pulled the frame and started working. So far, I installed Granada spindles and brakes up front along with a a frame drop. added rack and pinion and a 302/AOD combo. Out back, 3" drop Posies super slides and a 8.8 with 3.55's and limited slip along with disc brakes. Adding some Merc trim and maybe even a 52 Merc hood scoop, 57 Olds tail lights etc. I still have a long ways to go, but thought I would say hi and post up a few pics.

I slapped the body back on before we moved to a new place. However, im gonna have to pull it back off and finish the bottom of the body. Thinking of making a jig so I can roll the frame out from under it and work and of course work on the frame easier. Still gotta run all the brake and fuel lines, install sway bars and finish up mounting the engine and ******.

Welcome! There is an ongoing thread regarding a rear end swap, don't be surprised if folks want to get more info on the 8.8 you used and what it came out of.

Jeff, It is a 28 spline small bearing out of a Ranger. I made an adapter to use the disc brakes off a big bearing 31 spline Explorer 8.8. It also has a extra stiff limited slip. This is accomplished by adding extra clutches and stacking them differently than stock and the use of a F150 S spring.

I am thinking of using a Ranger swaybar setup on the back when I pull the frame back out too.

    Im always up for questions!

I spent the afternoon cleaning out the garage. I have spent the last 2 years building a sandrail for the family, so its a bit of a mess. Needs a nice clean up before I start back on the Ford. Pulled her out today, and snapped a pic while I had here out!

Anybody else here in SoCal that are duners?

Drilling holes for those spears was as nerve wracking as anything else I had done to my car. No fun, but extremely worth it. Coupe '54s look really really neat! I like the longer decklid on them
