Every NEw years day for as long as I can remember they have local cruise day at the 50+ year old Dairyette in the heart of Dallas. It is a really cool burger joint that makes awesome burgers and the best homemade root beer I have ever had. They had a great turnout of around 160 cars. Still trying to figure out how they got so many cars in there. Had three overflow parking lots full and a few cars across the street that showed up later. Raised about 1600 for charity which was really good for the comunity. Anyhow lots of old timers came out and some of the legendary Nitrogeezers were there. Needless today there were cool conversations going on all day. Here some pics. Bob Wilson Hemi Roadster Honest Charleys bare metal truck Original track T built in the 50's and restored in 1982
That Trak T was perfect. Do you have any more pictures of it? THEM TX, Me and MarkX were off in the boonies because we were late, after all it was new years day.
I had no idea or I would have been there for sure. Isn't that over on Ferguson close to Bishop Lynch HS?
yep, right across the street, I grew up right down the street from there, parents still live on Oates a block down, great to see that much support for that old joint, a true east dallas icon! thanks for the pics!!!!!! Hami
Nitrogeezers were the pioneers of running nitro in dragsters. They were the first to start playing with Nitro in the old days. Still a nice an tight group of individuals with tons of knowledge. I did not realize Dallas had so many old timers around from the early days of Drag racing and the Salts. Just glad I am finally getting to know them and can learn from them
Ah ****, I completely forgot about that shoz! Well, I had too much **** going on anyway. It was gorgeous out that day, so as soon as I got my still-a-bit-tipsy *** home I went straight out to hook up the compressors to get a leetle work done. Yay, almost done w/dee top. Too windy today though..... stinkin' wind. Hey, who all's goin on the ride along Sunday?
