Has anyone run Aerostar springs and the a arm blocks? I have the springs and want to add the blocks from butch but I'm worried if it's just going to bottom out at normal driving. Oh this is on a 53 btw.

I had the blocks for a few years till I heard about the Areostar springs. Took the blocks OUT & put the springs IN = same height. The lower A-frame snubber was sitting on up against the frame. I cut & trimmed about an inch off the rubber snubber. I'M pretty sure if you put the bars in there with the springs you'll have bump steer with you lower A-frames pointing up. Bad CASTER ANGLE FOR SURE.

So probably going with expensive drop spindles is the best way to go huh?

I know the 57 & up use the Granada spindles for a drop. I think you have to modify the hole for the upper or lower ball joint on a 54 to 56 to use them..

I'm running the Aerostar springs with 3/4" worth of shims in the A arms. I think I cut the front bump stops in half when I put it back together. It doesn't ride the greatest but since the rear is sitting on the bump stop, the front seems to work like a dream considering. If you want to retain your suspension travel then you have to do drop spindles but I have been running mine like this for 4 years and I put 6000-7000 miles a year on my car over the ****py roads in the Northeast.

Drop spindles don't have to be expensive, use maverick, ltd out even mercury equivalent.
Might have to ream a little but might be worth it.I'm under 400$ into my ride front suspension aerostar springs maverick spindles ballpoints and bushings.not too bad
