  1. That was the first time I have seen that particular car. But according to the Speed on Tweed program.....
I have a few more pics of various cars from previous events but it will have to wait a couple of days sorry.

I agree with you regarding the steering wheel.. But if we tried to drive it i`m sure we would`ve understood why..

That cishion was on clearance at the local junk store. I recently made a pair of diamond plate bomber seats so I sit lower and don't get beat up by the wind.
No turtle deck for me...I like the idea of people being scared of hitting the bare gas tank.

This looks like the one that Don Small =(curent owner of Bell Auto Parts Name)built in 97 for Muroc to do the parde lap & get the plague. He sold it like 99-00 & bought P-Woods 1st iteration of a singleman gow job and it to is now for sale, but it is apart.
    I like em all:D

T Speedster we're building...hey Bob (37Kid), you'll note that my dad reversed the spring eyes...you can't see it in these photos but he's got the hairpin ball pivots just about at frame level now...no more mounting brackets. Engine is a T with a counterbalanced A crank, aluminum pistons, pressurized, with a RAJO overhead conversion. Buffalo wheels, and since these pictures were taken there's now a big drum Ruckstell rear end.

Looking GOOD Cris!!!!!! Back in 1980 I need money to add the garage on the house and sold my T Speedster project. Roof Liberty 8 that I bought from the original builder on Cape Cod. It spent its life in a race boat, you can see the special sump in the photo. Set of four 20" lock ring Buffalo wires, dropped T Front axle, big drum Ruxtell, brass T radiator, and a 1914 T hood former that I bought at my first Hershey meet in 1969. The two bucket seets were wicker with a rolled leather covered back, I was told they were very early aeroplane items. When I think about it, $3,000. was a good deal in 1980, bought me most of the materials, but I gladly pay $6,000. to have it back.:D

This is the first vintage race car project I had in the late 1960's. Started with the original body that still had the upholstery in it, modified a T chassis from the instructions in the Fast Ford book. Had a very nice German silver V radiator for it. Sold it when a better project came along. New owner put a Crager in it and last I knew it was in England. sure would like to see a photo of it today. NOTE: photo was taken at the shop I worked in a week after it opened, they needed cars to fill up the place.

The Speedster engine...do you recall the boat racer's name or have pics of the boat by any chance?

Is that an original T52 on the bench in the background or later one?

Cris, The boat engine came out of Chatam, Mass, the fellow owner a garage there, his son ran it at that time mid 1970's. The hull was stored in a barn that burned one winter the engine was in his basement. The thing I really wanted was a huge photo of the boat kicking up a huge rooster tail. The only thing you could see was his head and a stock T steerring column he was hanging on to. Yes, the T-52 Bugatti was one of two originals I got to assemble after Gus Reuter painted them.

Have you been in touch with Rob Olsen in Canada ? He makes new Henn parts including race parts, like ally cylinders and he is the engineer behind King Clutches for Indians and Henns etc.

Yes, He has a very nice website, and we've had a few emails back & forth. My main goal is to first get the wheels rebuilt painted and mount the tires. Once the frame is checked for alignment I'll build the bucks to form the new aluminum bodywork. The last thing will be the money pit of the engine rebuild. I've done the Lyndwood Dragster this way. Gives you a nice semi finished project to look at rather than a high dollar rebuilt engine and a mass of chassis & body parts lying about. :)
