hi i wanted to know what people have done to replace a bad floor brace??? mine is rusted beyond repair its the front driver side brace. i know ems makes some for the 49-52 so i was thinking of buying those and modifying those to match the rest. any info would help thanks
I made my own out of 18 ga sheetmetal.this was on a 56 victoria.its not hard make a pair out of card stock first b4 trying it on metal.you will need a mig welder.
No I haven't seen them and I know what your saying about the drawings, they really need to update their catalog. I did purchase a pair of front floor pans from them a few years ago and they where pretty decent for what I paid.
As mikhett said these are usually pretty easy to make with a brake, it would probably take the same amount of time to make one as it would to modify one.
mark t thanks i think i will email them and see if they can send me a picture, i wonder if anyone else on here has used surplus supply co sheet metal
Here are pictures of the front braces for 1952 Customline Fordoor. I also se if it works for me to post pictures. I also started to a brace with my braces and anvil https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1/1970563_407933452686833_841412072_n.jpg Mikael
