Anyone know if a 49-51 Ford V8 radiator will interchange with a 52-53 Ford?

Should be almost a bolt-in, if any alteration is needed it would be minor a lot of guys have have used mid 60's Mustang radiators in 1949-56 Fords when doing a SBF 289-302 swap.

Sounds good. Wonder if anyone has a parts book that where they can check the numbers. I am putting a Flatty in the car so would have to add two more ******s if I used a Mustang.

This is about the best investment you can make for your Ford:http://www.ebay.com/itm/1949-1959-F...anuals_Literature&hash=item2ec117f6f1&vxp=mtr There are two sections one lists all the part numbers so you can Google a part number and find the best deals, the other section breaks down the cars by year and shows blow ups of where each part is located so if you need to take something apart or put it back you can just print it and take a copy out to the garage.

My Flatty is actually an Ardun. I located a 49 radiator that has been newley recored for a great price and would like to purchase it but I am away from home and can't determine if it will fit. So, If I can determine if it will fit, I will buy it. Need to do it soon so it doesn't get away from me.

Check out the link above it shows '49-'53 are the same,I would buy it.The aluminum would probably cool better however.

Thanks Jeff. Fortunately, Arduns run real cool, like 160. I noted that for Champions and thats a pretty good clue.

He information I am looking for is the interchanability of a stock 49-51 to a 52-53. I have a good 49-51 located. I know there are a number of aluminum alternatives.
