OK..after the warm welcome, I decided to risk the OT police and post some pics. I started this about 7 years ago, been finally making some progress in the last year. Being retired helps alot for the time aspect, not so much for the funds available. Major things done so far: about 3 1'2 years spent rebuilding the body. floor pans, rebuilt trunk, inner and outer rockers, inner and outer rear quarters, rebuilt front fenders, all 4 wheel wells. Body off and 100% strip to bare metal. Hand formed the rear roll pan,eliminated almost all body seams.Paint is basecoat/clearcoat, all stainless has been restored, all rubber replaced, all new gl***, almost every nut and bolt replaced with stainless(non structural) tailights are 63 Galaxie 500 xl with added outer ring, hood has '83 Mustang GT scoop, all handles new, all door latches NOS, cowl area smoothed, Interior: front and back seats from Mitsubishi eclipse '93(?)refinished and redyed, reformed the dash, fabricated center console, '97 Mustang steering column (fully functional including variable speed wipers) Gen iv a/c, pwr. windows, new carpet, headliner. New door panels/rear side panels, rear seats fold down,billet a/c vents and controls,shifter is '95 Lincoln Mark viii Mechanicals: granada discs/dropped spindles, HD sway bar, rebuilt suspension all new components including springs and control arm shafts, R & P steering, 4.6 efi dohc from a 1 owner 52k '95 Lincoln Mark viii, 4r70w ******(electronic OD), Mark viii shifter, mark viii alum. driveshaft, fan and shroud '95 Mark viii,oem style aluminum radiator, K&N filter, Ron Francis express wiring harness, '97 Mustang variable speed wiper motor accesible from under dash,hard arm wiper system to replace pulley and cables I just got the engine put in a few months ago, am working on the plumbing, then on to finishing the chasis wiring and then the engine management harness/ computer.
If you put the Pix here in the Group it is OK,we can all learn and share from that, if you keep it off of the HAMB main board you should be safe from the watchdogs.
