These old Fords actually never had a fuse box so most folks will mount them on the drivers side kick panel, are you converting from 6 to 12 volt? if so use this guide:http://www.ebay.com/gds/6-to-12-Volt-Conversion-1955-Ford-/10000000001571127/g.html This is what you need to use your '53 gauges:http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-1969-F...967|Model:Mustang&hash=item415d94b8a9&vxp=mtr .As most of these wiring kits are GM friendly give Rebel a call their tech people will tell you how to wire the Fords headlight switch, you will also want to install a switch to operate the emergency flashers.I strongly advise you to order this also:http://www.ebay.com/itm/281146739569?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 For two reasons, it will take the load off your original headlight switch and your headlights will be much brighter since back in '53 there were no halogen lamps you need the upgrade to make them work.

Welderdave, I wish I could be more help, But I wired my 57' with a Ron Francis kit and although it looked intimidating at first the instructions were great and made it easy! I ***ume that all your wires are marked the whole length of the run, if so no worries about remembering what color went where etc. like I said, follow the instructions and you shouldn't have any problems!

We have had several members use the 9+3,the big plus is always Rebel's tech service, if you hit a snag call them.

thanks guys. what kind of connectors did you guys use for the lights? i was also thinking of trying to get LED lights for the brake lights. seems like those would have to be custom made. i bought some rocket 88 lenses
