1952-59 Ford Anyone put '54 headlight doors on a '53?

Both 53 and 54 have tabs at the top, but the 53 buckets have spring type tabs on each side of the lower tab that the doors screw onto. Anyone ever try a 54 door on a 52 or 53?

 

the 54 have peak for lack of a better word on the side 52-53 dont have this feature.tried to post picture from camera no luck

 

I wonder if I can get the '54 buckets if it would work?

 

The 54 fender also has the peak on the side.

 

Get a set 54 front fenders or a couple gallons of bondo.

 

Hank , I have a set of 54 bezels if you have steel 53 bezels. I wouldn't be opposed to trading and working something out on shipping. Just a thought.
