As far as the front end goes I have blocks for my lower arms and Aerostar springs...I'm trying to see how low I want in the back. I am currently running 2" blocks but I know good and well the stock springs have dropped.i just don't have an idea of how much. I would hate to order 4" springs and sit at the same height.
That leaves me to my how low question... Who has drop springs in the rear? I'm trying to decide between 4"-6". Springs inc said they will make any drop I want.
Anyone with pics would be appreciated.

I'm running Posies Super Slide 3" drop springs in the rear with Aerostar springs up front. Mines not as low as your looking for. These pics were taken right after I installed this set up. I drove about a 1/2 mile down the road and stopped to take these pics.

    Hey Hunter73,

Did your '56 settle much after you installed the new springs?

What size tires are you running?

    Nice Car!

Mark T - Thanks! I've only driven it about 80 miles in the last year...I haven't notice any settling yet. The tires are Diamond Back II, Toyo 215/75/15's, with a 2.5" whitewall.

Cool, I really like the stance.

I have a set of the Posies super sliders that I haven't installed yet and I was thinking about buying the Aerostar springs.

How is the ride with this combination of springs? Do you have any sway bars?

My car rides really nice with this set up. However, I am going to buy the dropped spindles for the front, so the Aerostar springs won't be on forever. I have no sway bars, but I'm planning on buying them from Nascar Dave off of here.

On your car, Hunter73, I'd say that where you're at is about just exactly where you want to be. It's got great "stance". Any lower and it'll start to look squashed and you'll lose the perfect stance you already have. Sadly, too many people think that "just right" isn't good enough...and procede to ruin perfection in order to please everybody else.

BTW: There's a great thread on "what makes the perfect stance?" going on the main board. It's great reading for everybody because, as becomes increasingly clear during the thread, it's not about "how low can you go?", it's about making the car look it's best. A great read.

My Vickey with Granada up front, Jamco 2 inch drop springs in rear. I'll be picking up a 1 inch sway bar from Nascar Dave on Wednesday to haul back to Wisconsin with me.[IMG]
