Im resto modding my 56 ford victoria ,The po rebuilt the front end but i want to install aerostar springs. How low should i go inthe back with lowering blocks?I was thinking 2 inches.
I used 3" lowering leaf springs in the rear on my '56 with aerostar springs up front. I think it has a very nice stance.
Mine has rebuilt stock leaf springs and 3" blocks. I have Granada spindles and Aerostar coils up front. The stance on mine is level and I love it.
Simple. Once you get the front end set where you want it, lower the rear until it looks "just right". There. Done. Seriously, stance isn't about numbers or even parts, it's about doing what must be done to make the car look the best it can. Sometimes it takes some pretty serious ****ity with ride heights, wheel widths and offsets, track adjustments, tire sizes and even wheel opening shapes (right, Tony?) to get the stance just right. But once you get there it's all worthwhile. Even a seriously unfinished or patena'd car will stop traffic if the stance is right. Many old time rodders and customizers - myself included - believe that "stance is everything, and that if the stance is right everything else is irrelevant". Good luck!
Mine has aerostar springs up front and stock leafs in back. I'm thinking only a 1 or 2 inch block would do it for me. 3" would surely have me dragging the *** around.
