1952-59 Ford Door looms on eBay

Saw these on eBay, expensive but original. Reserve not met at $100.

 

What are these things?

 

The old lady's tampon tool.

 

Door looms for running wires to the doors.

 

0 bids. OK, now a stupid question; Are these really THAT collectable/rare to warrant that asking price/reserve? This particular part has never really been on my radar as desirable or collectable/rare. Are they reproduced in the aftermarket?

 

If they would have sold I would be pulling mine out and put them on the bay.

 

BIN prices and selling prices are two entirely different animals.. Start them out at 10.00 with no reserve and see what they sell for

 

I think they're just rare. You had to order power windows to get them.

 

I am with lanny haas. If they sold for that I would take the ones off my 54 Vicky and the two extra sets I have. I bought the two extra set from a guy at the swap meet for $10. One set for the 54 coupe the other set for my 55 Vicky. Both to run the after market power window and speaker wires thru.
A note 58 Chevy covers are almost the same just a little longer. I compared the Ford with the ones on my 58.

 

seem easy enough to fabricate!

 

They are only worth what someone is wiling to pay.

 

I'm with mikhett, they look easy enough to make.

 

Sold for $150. Maybe it's time to sell the ones on our cars.
