I have worked on my "new car" a Ford 1956 Town Sedan. Today i discoverd that the engine block is leaking on the right sida. See the picture.
What to do, i would like do drive it this summer before i take the engine apart. Is there any solution with bars leaks or something.
    Regards

There are many product out there that will help. You will be ok for the summer, just don't get it too hot.

It looks like a cracked block, but are you certain it's not seeping down from a head gasket? I've never seen one leak near the mount like that :-(

It does look like a leak from the head when you rotate the photo.

You can buy stuff that seals head gasket leaks.there is a procedure to follow, but if you do it EXACTLY as the say in the instructions, these products work awesome. I know people still running their daily drivers years after using that stuff. At least a head gasket means you dont have to replace the block.

Thanks for all the answers the last thing i would like to do is replace the block. I will buy some of the stuff. But is hard to change the head gasket one Y-block. But i hope the KW block seal will help and take my head ace away.

It's not very difficult but you could run into a lot of "MAW"'s.
    Might as well do this...

I'm not one to fix an engine by pouring a can of something into it unless it's just temporary. Like my old man told me "there's nothing in a can that's going to fix anything". I had picked up a 272 for a project & found out later it had a cracked block in the same spot shown in your pic. I ended up having it welded. ***embled the engine a couple years ago and hasn't leaked a bit since.
