Wanted: 49-53 Ford V8 Radiator in good shape. Does not need to be original. Just needs to be good. Tom
This should keep it cool: http://www.championradiators.com/Ford-Cars-Radiators-FH-1949-1953 On sale too!
I bought a 2 core with bigger tubes from Superior Radiator in Michigan off ebay. All I had to do is build 1 3/4" spacers and drill the holes. With their tab locations and radiator configuration, the radiator wont sit low enough or close enough to fan and hose's would have to be custom. So did spacers and measured and drill based off original and looks and works great.
Several of our members have gotten radiators from Oscar's who is a Champion dealer give them a call: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Oscars-Radiators/268107196537025?sk=info The part number is CC49FH.
This is another option:http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALUMINUM-AL...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a8e2d715d&vxp=mtr OMG! Chinese? Actually from the pictures shown it does have good fin and tube structure, sadly for USA manufacturing anything made from aluminum is the victim of EPA over regulation but look at the bright side the Chinese walk around wearing masks from the pollution and we don't here.
Take your original radiator to a local radiator shop and tell them what you want. Guaranteed to fit and 100% American made.
I corrected the link I had above to Oscars Radiator(different phone number) I'll check out the ebay feedback as that had me scratching my head. When I was on the Uniform and shop towel routes they were my customers and were stand up folks.UPDATE: 99.7% Positive feedback is pretty good, http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=Feedback***eller
Looks good to me. I might try one of those from EBAY. I love this part of the ad though "We can customs this kind of radiators accord to your request."
