Really enjoying this thread. Good to see some inline 6 love. Have one in my C-10.
Since I'm a "f-ing new guy" I gotta ask. Is there a similar picture thread here for 4-bangers?

GRX, welcome. I'm sure if you do a search for "banger" threads there should be several. Also search for threads on the Antique Nationals ,lots of cool 4 & 6 cylinder stuff there aswell.

Does anyone remember a six cylinder Plymouth Valiant Wagon, a light brownish color that raced the Detroit area in the middle sixties. It was a father and son effort by the last name of Moore. Mr. Moore was ahead of the Plymouth Dealers Troubleshooting Compe***ion that took place in those days. Thanks...Mike

No scanner here for pics but from the Shop Rag mag number 2: "This deuce roadster was owned by Chaparrals member Herschel *****ett. Herschel was a mechanic and his dad worked at the Ford ***embly plant in Dallas. His engine was a flathead 6 Ford truck engine with Knudson head and 3-2 intake. The engine used Jahns pop-up pistons, Clay Smith cam, had the main bearings strapped and would turn 7000 rpm on alcohol."

This mopar was at the Tucson dragway reunion last weekend. Got a chance to talk to the owner, car had previously ran with the AHRA in the late 60's early 70's.Car was powered by a 225/ 4 speed combo and had run low 11's
