Event Coverage Royboy goes to the 2014 Stray Kat 500

Thursday evening we rolled Southeast from the Salina, KS area headed for Bartlesville, OK. Our goal was to get to town for the Stray Kat 500! A couple of hours later I led the 3 car caravan into our hotel, some dinner and chatting with friends and it was time to crash out.

Friday Morning we went to the host hotel to check in and gather up for a cruise about 60 miles east over to Darryl Starbird’s Rod & Custom Museum near Afton, OK. Here are some photo the day.

Thanks for posting, I was planning on going but sold the wagon and my other 3 had issues that kept me from driving up. Maybe next year.

Alligator cars.... Remember folks, keep your hoods shut, 99% of your engines are not interesting enough to warrant disturbing the lines of the vehicle. If you disagree with me just know that I'm right and you're wrong, end of discussion.

Hahahahahahaha...!!! Travis, you are sooo-oo-ooooo correct on this...never could figure out WHY those with stock, greasy, rattle-can 'rebuilds', rusty or dirty compartments/engines/underhoods had to open their hoods 10 seconds after they shut off their engines when arriving...!!! If the engine/compartment ain't clean, shiny or unusual, keep the hood closed...!!!

The ONLY time you'll see mine open is IF someone asks to see under the hood (or in a judged indoor show)...then it's closed again...'Alligator cars' - I like that...!!!
