Can I use a 1966 Ford Econoline Master Cylinder on a 1951 Mercury?

the master cylinder is the worst part on a 66 econoline. you can do better, plenty of cheap options out there.

On a budget? A rebuilt dual master from a late 60's Mustang is about $15 exchange, and they don't care what you bring in for the exchange at the chain stores. I put one on my Falcon, and put the old single pot in the box to return for my core charge.
How small could your budget be that a $15 master would bust it?
