Projects Will it run? 1956 Chevy 2-Door Hardtop!

Got a call from one if my friend's telling me that is father in law has a 1956 Chevy that he has has since the 1970's and wants to be able to drive it around town. He is no longer able to work on it, BUT my friend knew about my old car obsession and gave me a call. Follow along as we bring this old beast back to life! He bought the car back in the day for $500 and restored it with his father's help. It has not been run since 2001 or so, but it is awesome that I will be able to take part in getting this cl***ic back on the road.

My dad had one like that. He sold it because Mom could never learn to drive a stick.

 

And it's got an alternator already too.

 

The owner now has problems driving anything other than an auto due to a handicap, so eventually this beast will be changed to an automatic
