Hello! The name is Scott and I've been lurking here for a few weeks, decided to register and say "hi!". Picked up a '63 Ford F-100 last summer (yeah, the year with the mismatched bed...haha!). It's been a Colorado truck all it's life, so it looks fairly solid. I took delivery of it on a Friday the 13th, so my kids and I thought it only seemed natural to name it "Jason". It has a 292 Y-block V8, 4-speed on the floor, static drop with a c-notch in the rear, rusty/bondo/spray can painted body (doesn't look bad from 20 feet away), and chrome reverse wheels on wide white radials. It's steering is sloppy, it pulls all over the road, takes forever to brake, is loud as hell and shifts have been a little notchy, but it should be fun. I have other projects/obligations going on right now, but someday would like to make it a little more user friendly.
Welcome, love your truck... You'll eventually find the correct bed... My first car/truck was a 1961 Shortbed unibody Ford... Wish I could find a nice one to restore
