Technical 1963 thinderbird brakes

    i am doing some work on a 63 tbird for a buddy.it already has a dual master and disks in the front. i have reciepts from 01 when the conversion was done but no mention of the make or manufacturer of the kit.can any one give me some idea of what parts were used?

    disc brakes started on '65 Birds - maybe from a later model?

    Caliper looks 1st version of Fords disc brakes. 65/66. You can tell by the steel brake line that loops between both sides of the caliper. I recall them being a pain to work on. Mcyl just looks like a garden variety Ford used on late 60s cars.

    yeah, those are the good big 4-pot Kelsey-Hayes calipers, 64 or 65 thru 69 bird and mark III and the muscle parts Boss 302 TA kit.
