Going to have a friend of mine take mine out using the "Slam Hammer" approach that he has found works best. I reasoned that with my welding skills I would end up with my doors welded closed.

Candle wax!!!! Learned it on the HAMB! Do know how or why it works but worked for me. Heat it up then pour plain unscented wax and then hit it it will come right out...

  3. Here is something else I have learned. You might want to p*** this on to your friend. Do not let your welder ground through the hinge. I always put my Ground on the bolt I'm welding to the pin head. Keeps from having an electrical fusion through the hinge.

  4. Other things I like about this process is you can do it on a fully painted rig and not damage the paint on the hinges. No heat necessary. Also the running boards can be left on the car.

Son used an air chisel. Ground the tool down to fit a socket. Used a punch that fit the socket. Set it all in motion and out she came. Did all hinges on his fordor.
