Hope y'all do it next year on a weekend other than Memorial Day. Bummed that I'll have to miss it.

Can't wait to see all you folks out there. A little update, I've joined the music lineup. I'll be playin some music on the main stage and I think I'm gonna do some sangin under the trees as well. Also, for those of you comin into town on Friday, we're gonna do a downtown cruise (I guess from the Fairgrounds) to the Hempstead Movie Theater for an 8pm screening of "American Graffiti". Hope to see a bunch of early birds cruisin round town Friday night.

Gettin her back to the top (for now). There were tons of posts yesterday. My band (if you wanna call it that) will be playing at 11am Saturday. Some rockabilly, some bluegrass, mostly funny songs about hookers and bank robbery. I'm tryin to get my crazy Uncle Dennis to come out and get some photo coverage of the event so I can write y'all a post-op ed. See y'all Saturday.

 

I'm really shocked to see so few responses on here. I was thinking them moving the show out off Hw 290 that it might bring in more of the Austin guys. New Caney was a long way for me. This is just a hop skip and a jump out of Houston or Austin.

I understand that it's open to cars at 8:00. I'll be in Brenham at Denny's for breakfast a 6:30. You can see my Hail damage from the last storm.

Memorial Day is a big weekend for a lot of folks, so that may affect attendance negatively. Just don't remember the Hoedown being on that weekend in the past?

I'm aleady here. Passed on the movie in town. Just hanging out in Waller tonight.

 

I really enjoyed the show....The Hellions really made a great choice at the new venue....this show is one of the best .....sold out... 400 cars entered....

 

i went. Got there at around 10, 10:30 or so. It was packed. Found a spot to park my truck in the show. Really enjoyed the show. Love the new venue. I didnt like the new cayne location at all. Hope that next year will be at the waller fairgrounds again.

 

Bad ass! That's a good turnout, I wish I could have taken my ride out there. The new venue looked like a really good spot for a show. I was the designated cook for my daughters engagement party and couldn't make it out.

My first Hoedown. Great show, great venue, will definitely be back next year. Thanks for picking my car for an award.

 

And much deserved, that little model 40 is my dream car... Wish my stove bolt could keep up, and wasn't bare... I would have gone....
