Washington Blue is one of my favorite color. A good choice. You'll have to change the wheel color though. I don't think red and blue will harmonize.

That is the perfect color for that car. Good luck with the rest of the build. I am feeling a deep blood red for the interior. What are your plans/thoughts.

The painting has begun. I ordered a quart extra because this is not a standard paint code. Ended up with "midnight blue" on the label.

the back bars that hold your front bumper, one goes on the inside of the frame and one goes on the outside; each side, otherwise yer front bumper doesn't have the correct arch across the front..
(frm the 33-34 sheriff) love that '39

I would have to disagree with the red and blue not going together. Ive seen quite a few blue cars with red wheels and I think it looks good.(just my opinion though)

^^^ Yep- red and blue seem counter-intuitive, but they work a lot better than you think.

  24. I think a pale yellow or light tan is a good color choice for wire wheels on a dark colored car. Nothin wrong with red either.

If the Midnight Blue is a PPG single stage mix of an original Ford color, It would be closer to Duncan Blue. A '32-'33 color.
Any way that's what my PPG dealer came up with for my '33 Duncan Blue.
    My favorite Ford blue.
Most folks call any old Ford blue 'Washington Blue'

  26. I also like the firewall contrast...isn't it flat black? I've chosen a really dark red for mine, old fire truck color....now I wish I had your wires..your car is really giving me motivation, great 5w, really nice!

Red and Blue don't go together? Why don't they let me know when they come up with these new rules. If that is your final color choice I'll make room in the shop just to save you the embarrassment of driving it around. I don't usually make sacrifices like this but I'll make an exception in this case.
