we have had some scenes like that i our yard. when i was about 12 we had a big stack going to the crusher and i remember early road runners stacked 6 deep. makes me sick everytime i think about it!
RIP We can only hope that they lead a great life till the end. Also..I don't think thats a "cool" junkyard photo
No wonder it's so hard to find a decent '36 Chevy grill today! I think I see at least two of them in that pile!
Thats just not right. I wonder if in 50 years if it will ruin some guys day to see a picture of Geos, Toyotas, and Subarus all piled on top of each other. I'm guessing not, but the people who piled those up most likely thought the same.
thats probably trockmans scrap yard by the way they are piled up. they still do it that way. did ya notice the 3?window coupe on top in the middle? they where probably made into gremlins then cavaliers and now they're toyotas.
You really know how to make a groan man cry. I think I am sick. I've been looking for a 36 - 39 chev tudor and there must be at least 5 in that pile.
I always wonder the same shit. Is someone going to restore a POS Scion, Aztek, or a Omni some day? Do people look at the new crap the sell now and love the way it looks? I`d love to see all the new crap in a pile like that pic
horrible................ what i would give to be there that day ........i would prob still be tired from dragging everyone oen of those vars home
where's my time machine? and a crane.... gotta get busy... these made it through WWII but it looks like korea was going to be thier destination...just like we are sending everything we have left to iraq right now, damn those high steel prices!
Man, that is pretty bad to look at.I knew an old man when i was a kid that used to have a wrecking yard in the 60's, and he told me he used to buy cars all day long that would still run ,for $20 to $30 bucks. Then he would pull the battery and tires to resale and mash the rest.I am talking about hundreds of cars .He told me there was a shitload of willy's coupes, bantams,49 -51 merc 2dr's ,all mashed to shit...
I think Im gonna vomit. They all look so sad. Cant you hear the screams. Nothing cool about that picture at all...........
Its sad, but remember they were just worn out 15 year old cars in 1952. How upset do you get when you see worn out 1992 cars getting sqashed today?
I'm gonna guess no, as there isn't a yard I have seen or heard of the would pile the new shi, er, cars up like that. Takes to long to dig em out of the pile to make beer cans out of them.
Oh man that hurts.... I wonder if a 50 years from now anyone cares about how we throw away 90s stuff right now....
