I got a good deal on a '32 Ford front axle two weeks ago. It is bent, but after a nice chat with Okie Joe I know he can correct the problem, crack check and fit my '39 spindles and bend the steering arms to clear my wishbones. I like the look of the original forged ends, but the inside will get drilled, not sure if I'll detail the top or not. Lets see some photos of finished axles. Bob

Not real fancy, but it works for me. The axle was powder coated black and red was added later. Chrome acorn nuts are on the spring hangers for the quarter eliptecs. Red brackets are for a tow bar.

Don't seem to have any real good pictures of finished deuce axles; this one was drilled and had the forge lines ground smooth on the top and bottom before we dropped it, haven't see it painted and finished; but it should look pretty nice. Somewhat like you're planning for your axle.
117harv did a really good series of posts here on smoothing and detailing an axle not too long ago. Beautiful workmanship. axles.JPG

I would like to get a hold of Okie Joe, but due to all the changes here I am unsure of how to find him on the HAMB

    Mine's not a heavy '32. It's a '36 that Jack Fuller dropped, then I drilled and peaked.

  14. Purchased on the HAMB at a discount because it had been cut out of a trailer.

    Detailed by me.

Dropped by Greg Haynes. (Google search "Ansen Dropped Axles.)

    Powder coated black.

Nothing I like more than a heavy. I put a heavy under my full fender model A just for the fact that it is the perfect beam axle.

Here's a picture of an A axle that Okie Joe did with a 2" drop. It appears that some of the '32 heavy
