wow what a pain in the *** to find, hopefully everyone else gets it easier than I did. Let the learning curve begin.
Exactly. Ryan said they were going to make the social groups better than before, but so far it seems to be worse, in my opinion. Jeff, here's the Sticky - http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/faq-sticky.897329/
Me too! I found it OK but everything else is....different. It's going to take me a while on my learning curve, a few more months of stumbling around lost and I should have it....maybe.
Darn near gave up on this.Glad its back. Now I can stop working on my projects and waste more time on the computer.
I am going to miss our "Avatar of the Week" It was fun coming up with something new each Friday for all of you to enjoy.I liked the old Social Group better too, it was more "traditional"
Man, I get ready to say howdy and we lose the social groups for a couple weeks. Gonna use this opportunity to intro myself. Name is Jeff and recently got a '55 Customline two door. Its six/Fordo equipped, but I have a 302/AOD and a 3.55 disc 8.8 from an Explorer already for it. Been around the HAMB for the last ten yrs or so. Current driving cl***ic is my '62 Thunderbird.
Back in business... the new site made my supercharged Y block avatar all fuzzy and out of focus so I uploaded a new one. Still working on my 312, .030 build, and I just got my E4 cam from ISKY to bump those valves. Also working on all of the parts to switch over from my original slushomatic (although the 292 .060 over with G heads will BARK the tires in low and then in 2nd lol) to a 3 speed with R10 overdrive (just got that finished a few weeks back... that was a chore).
It is good to be back. I think once I find everything again I'm gonna like it just fine. One new thing I really like is it's easy to upload pics without having to add it to your album first....maybe it could be done before, but I couldn't figure out how. Anyway, for guys like me that want to keep some ot stuff to this forum only, it's great. Not too much done on my project..got the hydroboost mods done to mount to firewall/brake pedal. I'm going to eventually end up with coil-on-plugs, so before I installed the hydroboost, I got the cop valve covers installed, but I'm temporarily keeping the plug wires/coil packs I had a ss two return reservoir custom made to handle returns from both the rack and the hydroboost, added a ps fluid cooler, and got all the lines run. Also got my front brake lines finished up (not in the pic), with an added Wilwood proportioning valve.
I haven't figured out how to navigate all this new stuff,at my age my low tech brain is not ready for a high tech world. I don't even own a "smart" phone they're to dang little to read and I still hunt and peck.
I am so glad we have a "LIKE" ****on now. Nothing is worse than a thread full of "nice car" posts. Now you can just like it to send the same message. The only other forum I have seen with this feature is tbucketeers.com. lol
Another feature some may not notice is you can post in a thread then use the back ****on to get to the main page (in just 1 click) without having to go back through the post you just made.
